Job Title: Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster (Auto)

Location: San Diego, CA (Kearny Mesa)

Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Duration: 90-day temporary assignment with possibility of extension or permanent conversion

Pay Range: $35-$40 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Bodily Injury Adjuster to support a moderate-complexity auto claims desk. This role involves handling first- and third-party auto damage claims as well as third-party bodily injury claims, including those involving attorney representation. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, able to manage claims independently, and has a solid background in evaluating liability, assessing injuries, and negotiating settlements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of moderate-level auto claims, including:
    • First- and third-party physical damage
    • Third-party bodily injury claims (attorney-represented and non-represented)
  • Conduct thorough investigations to determine liability, damages, and exposure.
  • Evaluate medical records, injury details, and treatment to assess claim value.
  • Communicate with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and internal partners.
  • Establish and adjust reserves in accordance with claim facts and best practices.
  • Negotiate settlements within assigned authority levels.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation throughout the claim lifecycle.
  • Provide excellent customer service while ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience handling auto claims, including bodily injury.
  • Experience working with attorney-represented claimants, as well as unrepresented claimants
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage workload independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with standard claims systems and Microsoft Office tools.
